The County of Riverside has implemented an Advocacy Program for its employees and retirees. Advocates are real people who can make a real difference in your life. Advocates can help you overcome difficult medical and benefits issues so you have time to focus on recovery and healthy living. They work with your insurance provider, physician, and whomever it takes to reach the quickest possible resolution.
But advocates are more than just problem solvers. Advocates are counselors and re-educators who teach you how to get the most out of your benefits. They have been called "guardian angels" because they are persistent, professionally experienced, compassionate and focused on helping you! Advocates are dedicated to resolving your benefits challenges and ensuring you have a voice and a helping hand. A few examples of things Advocacy Services can help you with are:
- Resolving health care billing and insurance claim disputes
- Assistance researching for local treatment options
- Navigating Medicare of other medical questions
- Obtaining second opinions, when necessary
Advocacy services are provided at no cost to you or your family members. Once you and your Advocate have discussed your issue, your Advocate will work to resolve it within five days. If your issue is urgent, your advocate will attempt to resolve it within 24 hours.
If other issues ever arise, you can choose to continue working with the same trusted Advocate. So, the next time you struggle with a medical or benefit quesiton, be sure to contact Advocacy Services.
You may contact Advocacy Services at (888)411-0010 . Advocates are available between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Central time, Monday through Friday.
